Brother Martin's second game in the three game series against Shaw was delayed while the field was readied from the day's rainfall. Start time was delayed over half an hour which would become a factor in the latter part of the game. Brother Martin had a slow start in this one giving up 6 runs, committing 3 errors, and having only 2 hits for the first five innings of the game. Then in the sixth inning of the game, the Saders came alive and held the Eagles at bay.
In the top of the sixth, Matt Thorne walked. Chris McIntyre reached on an Eagle error when the third baseman, in an attempt to turn two, threw the ball into right field allowing Matt to move to third. When they attempted to throw Matt out at third, the throw was wild and got past the third baseman, allowing Matt to score. Next, Brad Treuting hit a two run homer! The inning ended with the Crusaders scoring 3 runs on 1 hit. In the bottom of the sixth, Lance Lepine struck out two of the next four batters.
In the top of the seventh, John Wilson reached base on an error. Richard Duncan followed with a single, and then BJ Rodrigue followed with a double scoring John to bring the score to 6 - 5 in favor of Shaw. Matt Adams was then walked loading the bases with Matt Thorne up to the plate. With a full count, Matt ripped one out of the park for a grand slam!, bringing the score to 9 - 6 in favor of Brother Martin. By this time, darkness was beginning to settle in and finishing the game before they ran out of daylight became an issue. The Crusaders planned on ending the inning and taking a three run lead into the bottom of the seventh relying on their defense and Lance Lepine to finish the game with Brother Martin on top. Three outs later, the Eagles were out of the inning with 0 runs on 1 hit and 1 Crusader error. Brother Martin enjoyed another come-from-behind win against the Eagles, bringing their district record to 3 - 3 which placed them in a two way tie with Rummel for 3rd place.
