vs. East Ascension

The game against East Ascension was played with some new faces.  It was exciting to see the young Crusaders get a chance to take the field.  On the mound was Justin Marocco.  Rounding out the infield was Tony Colletti catching, Matt Thorne playing first, John Wilson playing second, Andrew Velez playing short, and Ryan Hebert playing third.  In the outfield was Ryan Berry, Evan Alvarez, and Austin Condon.

In the top of the first inning, Andrew Russo hit a triple, but the Crusaders were unable to score him.  Justin Marocco took the mound in the bottom of the first giving up 0 runs on 1 hit and 0 Crusader errors.  In the top of the second, there were 0 runs on 0 hits and no EA errors.  In the bottom of the inning, EA scored 1 run on 2 hits and 0 Crusader errors.

In the top of the third, the Crusaders scored 1 run on a double by Austin Condon.  In the bottom of the inning, EA was held scoreless with only 1 hit.  In the fourth both teams had 0 runs on 0 hits and 0 errors.  In the fifth, the Crusaders were again held hitless.  In the bottom of the inning, Justin Marocco and Andrew Russo shared pitching duties.  The Crusaders gave up 4 runs on 5 hits and 0 errors.  In the sixth inning and the top of the seventh there were 0 runs on 0 hits with 0 errors.

The Crusaders dropped this one 1 - 5.
